About Us
MY NAME IS Brenda
I learned my love of sewing at 10 years old. I remember making made my first set of costumes when I was 13 for the bi-centennial parade in New York City. I made replica revolution costumes for my father, brother and uncle.
When my daughter began taking ballet at a young age, I started helping with performance costumes. I fell in love with the classical ballet tutus. I was a volunteer costume mistress for our local studio for many years and have made many of the tutus and party guest dresses used in the Nutcracker ballet over the last 20 years. Tutu making is an art and I have had the opportunity to learn from many experienced designers.
I also have a passion for special occasion dresses. I’ve been making and altering them for many years. Wedding gowns, like ballet costumes, have to fit perfectly but look beautiful. I have worked with hundreds of brides and find joy in every project.
